Dermatology Services

Consultations regarding skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, diseases of the hair and nails, management of warts and other skin infections.
Full skin examinations for skin cancers and sun spots. We will discuss and recommend the most appropriate treatment of any problems found. We are able to undertake biopsies and surgical excisions in the surgery. Referral to a plastic surgeon or radiotherapist will be arranged where appropriate.
Cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen treatment) for benign or precancerous lesions.
Removal of moles/skin tags and other benign skin growths.
Narrow Band UVB phototherapy for treatment of severe psoriasis, eczema and a number of other less common diseases. We have a cabinet, which allows treatment of the whole body and a hand and foot unit.

Our aim is to provide you with the best advice and care for your skin condition possible.

Where we do not provide a particular treatment, such as laser treatment for birth marks or dilated facial veins we will refer you to a suitable specialist or hospital department providing such treatment.

Fees

From 6/11/18, initial consultation fee will be $240. Fees are reviewed from time to time in line with CPI and movements in the Medicare rebate.

Our fees are based on AMA recommended fees. We do not bulk bill. Aged pensioners and Health Care card holders will be charged a reduced consulting fee. Currently, we accept Department of Veteran Affairs Gold card as full payment of fees due. You may check with reception prior to an appointment to see if a fee increase will be applicable for your visit. Should a procedure be done on the day of your 1st consultation then additional fees would be payable. If tissue or other specimens are sent to Pathology, the Pathologists will charge you a separate fee. Should you request a 2nd full skin check within 12 months of your current referral, a longer subsequent consultation will be charged, however, the Medicare rebate will remain the same as a subsequent consultation.
